Dear editor,  My name is Benjamin Anderson, a former major and councilman for the city of American Canyon for 14-plus years. I served with Joan Bennett during her first term in 1992. I found her decisions to be in favor of the needs for the city and its citizens. Joan has been on many community committees and many city committees working for the betterment of our city.

I’ve always believed that actions speak louder than words. Joan Bennett has been a person of action. I believe she has represented our city well. She is a person of integrity and sincerity. Vote for the person that is there for you and will do what she believes is right for the city and its citizens. Vote for Joan Bennett.

" Great letter Ben, and you are so right! She is not self-serving like another female who sits on city council is. Joan does not have personal-business conflicts, the other female does. Joan can truly represent the citizens of American Canyon with no hidden agendas, unlike some. "
