Justin-Siena High School will play in its fifth CIF North Coast Section championship football game in nine years Friday when the Braves face Salesian-Richmond at 7 p.m. at Alhambra-Martinez.
The section initially scheduled the game for Friday night at St. Helena High School, but opted Sunday to play the game at Alhambra so that it is played in the highest remaining seeded team’s geographical location.
The Braves (8-4 overall), the No. 4 seed, advanced to the Division IV title game with a 22-15 win over previously undefeated Ferndale in the semifinals. Salesian (9-2) is the third seed and beat Middletown last week, 22-21.
The Braves, who have won their last four games, returned to practice Monday. They received an at-large bid into the playoffs and beat St. Vincent/St. Patrick-Vallejo in the first round.
Justin-Siena won NCS titles in 2000, 2003 and 2004.
Tickets will be on sale in the Zeller building at Justin-Siena during lunch and at breaks. Ticket prices are $9 for adults and $6 for students, seniors and children.
