Three suspects are alleged to have stolen 50 pounds of steak and shrimp Thursday from a market in St. Helena, according to police.

At around 12:45 a.m. Thursday, the three men smashed a back door at Azteca Market on the 700 block of Main Street and stole four trays of steak, a handful of shrimp and beer, St. Helena Sgt. William Imboden said Friday. The suspects remain free.
The suspects, who were caught on surveillance camera, could be in their late teens or early 20s, Imboden said.

The store estimated the losses at least $800, but that does not include the cost of replacing the door and other losses,  police said.

" Best case: they were just hungry because of the closure of the food bank.
Worst case: the munchies. "

" I'm not justifying this behavior at all, I fall on hard times financially every now and again and I NEVER steal from anyone; BUT this may be a sign of our economy effecting people and making them do dumb things!
Is there any way we can get a still shot of the security camera? You may be able to find these people a little quicker if you give the public a chance to ID these people! "

" 707 your doing the cops job, good for you.
Bet they couldn't have thought of that one on their own.
Now they have somewhere to start. "
