DUI patrol on Friday night

On Friday night the Napa Police Department will conduct DUI saturation patrols somewhere within Napa city limits.

The patrols will be in an area that has experienced a high number of collisions and DUI arrests.
The police department asks those who have been drinking to find alternative ways to get from one place to another without getting behind the wheel, such as taking a cab or bus, walking, calling a friend or using a designated driver.

Funding for the DUI patrols comes from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

" HAHA! walking? gimme a break. so you can get people with a drunk in public. please give better suggestions like "dont get drunk." Calling a cab is what I do, cant get better than that. or just call mom, "mother...I am not feeling well. Please come get me!" "

" AO1982- thank you! I as well find "walking" to be quite hilarious. NPD, when did being intoxicated in public become legal? "
