"Merkel Pledges Tax Cuts Despite Rising Deficit"
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124631002610270209.html
..."Lower incomes taxes would "provide motivation" and encourage economic growth, Ms. Merkel told a conference of her party, the Christian Democratic Union, and its Bavarian sister party, the Christian Social Union." "

"Spain’s Energy Model: What Not To Do"
http://www.redstate.com/rep_michele_bachmann/2009/06/04/spains-energy-model-what-not-to-do/
..."According to a study by Dr. Gabriel Calzada, an economics professor at Juan Carlos University in Madrid, on the effect of public aid to renewable energy sources on employment, if the U.S. adopts the Spanish model as proposed by President Obama, for each job created, the “U.S. should expect a loss of at least 2.2 jobs on average, or about 9 jobs lost for every 4 created.”
Dr. Calzada further found that the high-energy costs associated with these policies have driven high-energy reliant businesses, like manufacturing, to cheaper places. And of the green jobs created, two-thirds were temporary installment and construction jobs.
Other countries have similar job-loss stories to share. As the economic realities of Australia’s much-heralded cap-and-trade policies began to sink in, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced a delay in its implementation. A headline in The Australian says it all: “Carbon Plan Will Cause Jobs Carnage.”
Thanks Congressman Mike! We needed this in the middle of a recession. "

Let's watch him closely and listen to every word. I am sure he will be a fine and typical representative of Minnesota and the Democrat Party.
Do you suppose Franken can go an entire week without putting his foot in his mouth or his head up his patoot? Too bad this is a serious matter. "

I am serious. Please link or quote for me two outrageous statements Bachmann has made.
I have seen and heard her several times and would not have categorized her as being outrageous.
Are you sure that this is not more of the Sarah Palin syndrome where liberals demean and demagogue smart, attractive, conservative women without listening? "
Ruff Limblog wrote on Jun 30, 2009 3:37 PM:
You've literally made my day for me!
Are you serious that you are unaware of a SINGLE outrageous thing she's said? I mean I watch FAUX NOISE and she's gets lots of coverage of her wingnuttery there.
I would be ever-so-thrilled to find out that she is Sarah Palin's running mate!
I'm quite sure that would be a winning ticket... for Democrats.
Palin/Bachmann 2012!
Please do all you can to make Democratic victory possible!

Here she is talking about Carbon Dioxide not being harmful.

I can and may keep going but we all have google and youtube. To answer your last question, yes I'm sure if for no other reason because I don't find her to be smart or attractive. "

A person who can not recognize the emotion displayed on other's faces has it. In other words, Aperger's folks have a hard time telling if someone's face is showing grief, despair, rage or joy.
I find it interesting that 'conservatives' seem to be able to see the things Democratic politicians say or do that are 'bad' but can not recognize as 'bad' when a 'conservative' politician says or does the exact same thing or worse.
That's why I find that posting links or YouTube video that demonstrates why we think Michelle Bachmann is out in far right field outside the foul line just won't work with dyed in the wool members of the rightwing echo chamber.
It seems that 'Hear Ye' still has hope for our conservative friends, but I doubt it.
However, I don't write to convince 'conservatives' I write addressing independents who along with Hispanics gave the election to Barack Obama.
Barack Obama is a moderate Democrat and to the right of me. However, I've had several righties say, "Barack Obama is the most liberal ever!"
More liberal than John Kerry who was the most liberal after Al Gore, who was the most liberal since the last Democrat that Republicans hoped to beat.
One simple question can determine if you are able to comprehend how the 'rest of us' view rightwing chanting:
Are you a "birther"?
Or expanded...
Do you believe that Obama was not born in America and is not a US citizen?
STILL?
The rest of us saw Obama's documentation and were satisfied, but there are still birther conspiracy theorists out there.
Enough said.

Watched her speak about carbon dioxide and I think I love this woman!
Finally someone in Congress who understands science!
We EXHALE CO2, people!
All these years I thought the government was trying to TAX the air we breath (its the only thing they HAVEN'T taxed
I was wrong.
Instead they have now taxed what we EXHALE! "
freeport56 wrote on Jun 30, 2009 6:19 PM:
don't you realize that our friends on the left don't argue with good facts.
The best example is Hear ye's post on CO2 being harmful. He exhales it everyday, every green plant on the planet (and ocean) use it as a fertilizer, and it even has been twice as high in our past as it is now.
They are true believers. Even the suppressed EPA report written by a 38 year veteran of the EPA would not convince them. It's not that they want to stop pollution, they wanmt a powerful Central Government controlling and directing their lives. "
Hear Ye wrote on Jun 30, 2009 7:45 PM:
An EPA official told FOXNews.com on Monday that Carlin, who is an economist -- not a scientist -- included "no original research" in his report. The official said that Carlin "has not been muzzled in the agency at all," but stressed that his report was entirely "unsolicited."

Hmmm, smaller ice caps, higher sea levels -- kinda like what the climate change folks are predicting will happen again if we fail to THINK, BABY, THINK.
The problem with mechanically EXHALING too far too much CO2 with our fossil fuel burning -- beyond that which our natural systems will absorb.
The situation is a lot like drinking some fine Napa wine. A glass with dinner is OK, but chugging the entire wine cellar in one night is gonna cause problems... if not with the police then with your liver.
Electric automobile transportation is a major solution idea, lowering mechanical EXHALING of CO2 as well as putting $Billions back in American's pockets.
Burning gasoline is very similar to burning money in a backyard garbage barrel, it makes the neighborhood smell funny and the money could be put to better use. ;o)
