An alert Napa resident assisted the Napa Police Department with the arrest of a suspected drunk driver Saturday night.

The Napa Police Department reports that the citizen called police at 9:55 p.m. to report a possible drunk driver. Police arrived and located Miguel Avina Torres, 32, near the 2300 block of Linda Vista Avenue.
Torres displayed signs of intoxication according to police and refused to complete a series of field-sobriety tests. A records search confirmed that Torres was on probation that included terms stipulating that he not consume alcohol, police said.

Officers arrested Torres on suspicion of DUI and violation of probation and took him to Napa County Department of Corrections.
