Traffic was blocked temporarily on Highway 29 Friday morning after an accident near Deer Park Road.

Two vehicles traveling north collided after one that had stopped attempted to enter traffic again, according to the St. Helena Police Department. The vehicles collided and ended up in a ditch on the east side of the road.

The northbound lane was closed, which backed up traffic while emergency crews cleared the vehicles. One driver complained of pain to her right hand, but was medically cleared at the scene, the department said.
