Arrest for suspected violence in American Canyon

American Canyon Police arrested a man Wednesday after responding to the report of domestic violence.

Officers went to Bluebell Street at 8:45 p.m., police said. They spoke with a woman, who said she was in a fight with her boyfriend. During the fight, she suffered a scratch and bruises to her legs, as well as an injury to her back, police said.

She also told police he has previously assaulted her.

Officers arrested Miguel Abraham Monroy, 31 and booked him into the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of battery.
