A man was arrested in American Canyon Sunday after he was found with methamphetamine.

American Canyon Police officers responded to the 200 block of Los Altos Drive to the report of a man making threats to his family.
They found Ernesto Villamor Cardenas, 37, and did a pat-down search. Officers discovered he was carrying a bag of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe, police said.

He was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of felony drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

" Wow another meth arrest! Aren't there not more critical issues that could be reported on, other than every addict getting caught with their stash?

An outsider reading the Napa Register would think that this town is full of domestic violence, meth users and drunk drivers.

A little more positive reporting on the front page is in order.

Just look at today's NVR online local news headlines:

Sheriff tasers man, Vehicle burglaries, Lewd conduct, Meth arrest, Broke Jaw, Stolen car, Stolen Id, 2 arrests, Dui Report and Most Wanted.

10/13 topics involve crime. We are not in Watts!!!

Stop reporting as if Napa is some crime infested hole, it's bad form in general. Air the dirty laundry on the back page. "
