Stolen car arrest in American Canyon

A woman who was found sitting in a stolen car was arrested Sunday evening in American Canyon.

American Canyon police were driving on Napa Junction Road at about 10:31 p.m. when they saw the woman parked at a dead end next to a business, police said.

When they spoke with her, they noticed the steering column was damaged, they said.

Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and found that it had been stolen, police said.

They arrested Donna Lee Brown, 47, a transient, on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and booked her into the Napa County Department of Corrections.
