A man was arrested for the second time in several weeks on drug counts after investigators say they found he was cultivating marijuana in east Napa.

Members of the Napa County Special Investigations Bureau checked Lance Jaques Dhuyvetter’s residence on the 1800 block of Seville Drive late last month.
Residents had reported possible suspicious activity out of the residence via the bureau's drug hotline, the bureau reported.

Investigators secured a search warrant and found Dhuyvetter, 22, and another suspect were growing marijuana, agents said.
Dhuyvetter and the other suspect produced medical marijuana cards. Recently, the bureau found the cards weren't valid.

Agents served another search warrant Wednesday and arrested Dhuyvetter on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, the bureau said.
Anyone with information about possible drug trafficking or drug sales can call the bureau's  hotline at 224-DRUG (3784).

" Same plants? Doesn't that count as double jeopardy? "

" What a waste of time. How much time are we wasting on this division? Secondly Why would you assume that your cards would cover you. Growers get your act together! "

" What will the cards allow them? Were they forged, or will the cards not allow growth? "

" imagine what kind of tax money and police time could be saved if worthless arrest's like this didn't happen. cards were found to be invalid? Right.. makes the arrest so much more valid?... Hopefully one day our state/nation will learn to back off this aspect of our "drugwar" and realize the positive tax raising alternatives. "

" by "invalid" they mean they were expired

and to "JustAnotherManicMonday"_ With your medical marijuana card, not only can you legally buy medical cannabis, concentrates like bubble hash and hash oil, delicious edibles, tinctures and crazy tainted sodas but you can also legally grow your own pot!

also Medical cards allow you to own eight (8) ounces of dried, mature, processed flowers of the female cannabis plans AND
no more then six (6) mature or twelve (12) immature plants per qualified patient

this is the lovely napa valley but people should take care of the meth problem in downtown napa "

" By "invalid" they meant that they did not take the proper steps to verify the medical marijuana cards. I know for a fact that the cards were valid and up to date. The cops should deal with the meth and coke problem in Napa and stop wasting taxpayers money while were in a deficit. Medical Marijuana has been legal for over 10 years in the state of California. "
