A Napa woman was arrested Friday after police found her in possession of stolen coins.

On Wednesday at 10:13 p.m., officers stopped Koula “Kay” Sotrias, 46, for a bicycle violation on the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.
Sotiras is on probation in Napa County, so Napa police searched her purse, police said.

They found several unusual coins and checked records to see if they had been reported stolen. Officers were unable to confirm if they were, so they kept the coins and released Sotiras, police said.
Thursday, they confirmed that they were stolen and arrested Sotiras at about

7 p.m.
She was booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property and violation of probation at the Napa County Department of Corrections.

" I lost some change in that area the other day. They were unusual, unusual in that I normally don't have money in my pocket! How do I go about checking if some of that there money is mine? "

" I'm seeing so many incidents involving bicycles lately that I'm starting to wonder what's going on. I know that people with suspended drivers licenses have taken to bikes, and I know that the incidents we read about in the NVR allegedly are legitimate illegal situations. But when I start to think about how many other of these bicycle "stops" DON'T result in an arrest, and then I think about how many other crimes might be going on while a bike "stop" is in progress, well.....

I'm sure glad we have these robocop traffic light cameras to free up cops for more dangerous work such as stopping people on their bikes.

It would be nice if we could get all the Maria Shrivers ticketed instead of worrying about the damage a bicyclist might cause. I mean, we've already heard from the cyclist-haters who are going to run the bikes of of the roads. I can't believe that bicycles are uch a high priority. "
