" from newsweek today..

For the first time in the centuries-long history of the census, the number of same-sex couples who self-identify as married—license or no license—will be tabulated and released to the public. "

" Raven, I'm using Vista (I'm one of the weirdos who kind of like it), but I'm itching to install 7.
What OS did you change from? Did you do a clean or custom install, and did you do it yourself? I've always upgraded my computers myself; I don't know why I'm hesitating on this one. Had you run the windows 7 upgrade advisor program first? I guess from your positive experience, your other programs and peripherals all work?
Thanks! "

" Much enjoyed the recent windstorm.

Instead of driving around at night on our typically dark streets, suddenly the neighborhoods were lit up like Christmas.

Took me awhile to figure it out.

The wind was activating everyone's security lighting... "

" I am bi-computer...I have a machine running OS X 10.5 and the pc I upgraded...I went from XP home to 7 home premium...and using a thing called pcmover upgrade assistant was able to do it almost seamlessly....

ran the advisor before I even ordered it...and the only things I have encountered were updating the drivers on two pieces of peripheral hardware....a printer and my graphics card....only program issue I had was with elements 6, so I upgraded to 8 while I was at it.... "

" I'm running 10.5.8 on a Dual-Core Intel Processor, but I rarely run on the PC side, nor do I have PARALLELS. In fact only in the spring for 2 or 3 programs so I don't think I'm going to upgrade, not worth the cost or hassle for me. "

" Raven--from Newsweek and the internet about the census counting same sex couples as "married". One confused "person" when interviewed(a male) wasn't sure which one of them should be counted as the "top" and which one should be counted as the "secondary".
I think that says it all.. "
