Napa Valley Distillery will open a retail shop at the Oxbow Public Market in June.
The company is a family owned micro-distillery founded by Arthur and Lusine Hartunian to create spirits highlighting locally grown ingredients.
The Oxbow shop will be the distillery’s first and only retail location, outside of their manufacturing facility. It will feature fruit-based distilled spirits including single estate and vintage vodka made from sauvignon blanc grapes, barrel-aged cocktails, liqueurs, bitters, shrubs (an acidulated beverage made of fruit juice, sugar and other ingredients), syrups, drink-mixing condiments, glassware and books on distilled spirits.
While retail sales will be immediately available, Napa Valley Distillery will not be pouring its fruit-based spirits at the Oxbow Public Market location until appropriate licensing is confirmed.
Local architect Mary Keetch is designing the shop to resemble an old-fashioned speakeasy.
“Before I became a tenant, I was an Oxbow customer visiting at least once a week,” Arthur Hartunian said. “Everything there is terrific We truly look forward to being part of the Oxbow’s success for a long time to come.”
Oxbow Public Market is at 610 and 644 First St., Napa.
