Pier 1 Imports announced grand opening details for its new store, located at 3900 Bel Aire Plaza in Napa.
The store opened to the public on Monday and a ceremonial vine cutting and grand opening event will take place on Saturday, March 9 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Following the vine cutting, the store will host a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 200 shoppers will receive a free reusable gift bag and Pier 1 Imports back scratcher, as well as other surprises, said a news release.
Throughout the event, customers can enjoy live entertainment, including local guitarist Ken Kunst, from 9-11 a.m. and a live radio remote by KVYN-FM, who will give attendees a chance to win Pier 1 Imports products and gift cards between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The store is managed by Michele Kish, a native of Napa. On average, it will employ approximately 14-17 associates throughout the year, according to the release. This is the 111th Pier 1 Imports location in California, and it will feature the new store concept, which “utilizes a new interior finish-out, including natural-colored floor tiles, rustic ceiling elements, enhanced store lighting and lit shelving units lining the walls,” the release said. “The new look is complemented by the use of ‘open stock’ merchandising, designed to enhance the shopping environment by giving customers the opportunity to see, feel and interact with the product.”
