Prohibition book author will talk at RLS museum

On Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. author Lin Weber will be at the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum at 1490 Library Lane to talk about her new book “Prohibition in the Napa Valley: Castles Under Siege.” The book documents how the Napa Valley’s leading citizens became embroiled in a fight for their livelihood with temperance champions and federal agents.

Subsequent “meet the author talks” will be given at 7 p.m., Nov. 7 at the Napa Valley Museum, at 55 Presidents Circle, Yountville; at 7 p.m., Nov. 9 at the Napa County Historical Society at 1219 1st St., Napa; and at 1 p.m., Nov. 16 at Copperfield’s Books, at 3740 Bel Aire Plaza, Napa. The book is available at local bookstores and online at historypress.net.
