Leslie Sbrocco, wine expert, award-winning author, TV personality and host of KQED’s “Check Please Bay Area” will emcee Soroptimist International of Calistoga’s Crab Fest 2018 on Saturday, March 3.
This year marks the nonprofit’s 17th annual Crab Fest fundraiser which has raised more than $700,000, money which funds scholarships and other projects that assist women and girls to confidently face challenges in life.
This is the first time Sbrocco will emcee the fundraiser that also features an opportunity to bid on a live auction item donated by Sbrocco. Her auction item is a one-of-a-kind experience that includes a wine tasting with Sbrocco, and a set visit to “Check Please Bay Area” taping, valued at more than $2,000.
The crab feed is broadening its scope of support this year to include fundraising for those affected by the October wildfires. Proceeds from the silent auction will be used to support Calistogans personally affected by the disaster.
Silent Auction items include a Calistoga Balloons hot-air balloon ride and brunch for two, a Napa Valley Vintners gift basket with accessories, a Meadowood Napa Valley croquet and lunch experience for four, and other items.
Crab Fest will be held Saturday, March 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Napa County Fairgrounds.
Tickets are $75 per person; table purchases are encouraged (8-10 per table). You can pay online for tickets or sponsorship: www.sicalistoga.org. Businesses interested in donating a gift certificate, artwork, wine, wine club membership, silent or live auction items or a donation of services may do so via the website.
