Rebuilding Calistoga, the program that repairs homes of elderly and disabled citizens who are either low-income and/or physically challenged, is accepting applications for the New Year.

Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 1232 Washington St., the Chamber of Commerce, 1133 Washington St., or at any of the offices of the three senior mobile home parks; Rancho de Calistoga, Calistoga Springs and Chateau Calistoga.

Rebuilding Calistoga is a volunteer program under the sponsorship of Calistoga Affordable Housing (CAH) that repairs homes to ensure residents are living in warmth, safety and independence.

The program started in 2010 with a two-week event where 150 volunteers assisted with repairs for 32 homeowners. Repairs range from general yard work to repairing steps to painting.
