Mt. St. Helena Women’s Golf Club

Lengthen and Strengthen class

Every Tuesday and Thursday at the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St., 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., instructor Karen Mann leads a Hatha yoga and fitness class. No registration required; fee is $5.

Storytelling for children

Copperfield’s Books will have a storytelling session for children at 11:30 a.m. every Thursday. The store is located at 1330 Lincoln Ave.

Rotary Club

Meetings are held every Thursday at noon in the Tucker Room at the Mount St. Helena Golf Course, 2025 Grant St. Each week features a different speaker.

Mindful Singing

Experience and participate in a music setting where you will sing and play rhythm instruments. No previous musical experience necessary. The class is free and held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington St.

Columbus Day Dinner

The OLPH Men’s Club is sponsoring a Columbus Day Dinner at the parish hall, 901 Washington St. All are welcome. Enjoy fine home-cooked Italian food, live music, raffle, silent auction with stunning wines. Doors open at 6 p.m. There are only 96 seats for this under-the-radar decades-old local festivity. Tickets are $30 ($10 for kids) available after masses, or phone the parish office, 942-6894.

PFLAG meeting

PFLAG Napa offers monthly UpValley Support Group meetings at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 1504 Myrtle St. The meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Parents, families, friends, and allies of LGBTQ+ people are invited to attend. Sip and Listen

Sip and Listen is a new art history class (no tests) at the Calistoga Art Center that includes a complimentary glass of wine or juice. The second class topic is “The Fermentable Crescent.” The class meets every two weeks from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Art Center at the Fairgrounds, 1435 N. Oak St. Cost is $15 for non-members/$10 for members and seniors.

PWR!Moves

For those 50 and older living with Parkinson’s Disease, Essential Tremor or balance issues, this free movement class will help increase strength, balance and posture. Every Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Calistoga Community Center. Free. Drop-ins welcome.

Combining slow, meditative movement, Tai Chi helps aid in relaxation, balance and posture. This class is designed for those 50 and older. Every Friday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Calistoga Community Center. Free. Drop-ins welcome.

Live piano music

Brannan’s Grill has live piano music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Listening to the music is free. Food and drink are available for purchase. Brannan’s is located at 1374 Lincoln Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 14

Calistoga Farmers Market

Find fresh local produce and artisan wares at the weekly Saturday Farmers Market. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 1235 Washington St.

Guitar lessons at the library

Small-group workshops for beginning and low-intermediate guitarists are offered every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Calistoga Library, 1108 Myrtle St. All ages welcome. Dia de los Muertos flower making workshop

In preparation for UpValley Family Center’s Dia de los Muertos community celebration Sunday, Oct. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. at the St. Helena Catholic School Gymnasium, volunteers are hosting paper flower-making workshops. One at Calistoga Elementary School starting at 6 p.m. and a second on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. at St. Helena Presbyterian Church, 1428 Spring St., St. Helena.

Garden Club
