A motorist was hospitalized with major injuries in a crash at 12:10 a.m. Saturday on Highway 128 near Calistoga, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Porfirio Delgado, 62, of Windsor, was traveling westbound on Highway 128 in a 2005 Honda Accord when, for unknown reasons, he veered into the eastbound lane and crashed into a tree 1 mile west of Bennett Lane, the CHP said.

Delgado suffered broken bones in his face, leg and arm, the CHP said.

He was taken by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, then transferred to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, the CHP said.

Further information on Delgado’s condition was unavailable Saturday.
