A motorist was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly crossed the double-yellow lines and crashed on Highway 29 north of Tubbs Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Mark Anthony Carpenter, 50, of Herlong, was driving northbound on Highway 29 at 9:30 a.m. when he allegedly crashed into a southbound 1997 Nissan Quest driven by Sasan Barrow, 51, of Santa Rosa, the CHP said.

Carpenter was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the CHP.

Barrow was taken by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center out of precaution, the CHP said.
