A man wanted on a warrant was arrested at about 9:30 a.m. Friday in Calistoga in connection with the theft of a purse from an unlocked vehicle parked on View Road on Thursday, according to the Calistoga Police Department.

Nathan Ingram, 26, of Hayward, was arrested Friday after a short foot chase after he was spotted near Fairway Vista Court near Centennial Circle, Calistoga Police Sgt. Matt Freese said. He was identified through witness statements, police said. Ingram, who was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Alameda County, allegedly lied about his name to police, Freese said.

Ingram was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, attempted burglary, possession of stolen credit cards, resisting arrest and giving false identification to a police officer, police said. The reported stolen property was recovered in a trash can, Freese said.
