School board president, clerk reelected by trustees for 2018
The school board decided Monday to keep in place for 2018 the officers leading them through the past year.
Jeff Maxfield remains president, Julie Elkeshen is clerk, and the three other Board of Trustees for the Calistoga Joint Unified School District – Indira Lopez, Matt Reid and Mark Galindo – are trustees.
The Board of Trustees are locally elected public officials entrusted with governing Calistoga’s schools. The role and responsibility of the board is to set the direction for the community’s schools; establish an efficient and effective structure for the school district; provide support to the school superintendent, teachers and staff as they carry out the board’s direction; ensure accountability to the public; and act as community leaders, according to the district’s website.
