A man and a woman were arrested Sunday at the Walmart Supercenter in American Canyon after store security saw them leave the store at 2 p.m. with suspected stolen fishing equipment, according to American Canyon police.

Victor Ramirez, 25, of Fairfield, and Christina Reed, of Vacaville, are suspected of stealing two fishing poles valued at $79.96 and $39.96, along with a $59.96 fishing reel and a $27.96 tackle bag, police said. Reed allegedly threw a cup of soda at the security officer, Chief Jean Donaldson said. Police then found two glass methamphetamine pipes and some suspected methamphetamine during a search of the 1996 Cadillac they had arrived in, police said.

Ramirez and Reed were booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, Chief Jean Donaldson said. Reed was also booked on suspicion of battery while Ramirez was jailed on suspicion of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine possession, police said.
