A man was arrested Saturday after a police officer stopped his car at 12:52 a.m. on northbound Highway 29 north of Mini Drive near the American Canyon-Vallejo city line because the car had no brake lights, according to the American Canyon Police Department.

Alejandro Castaneda, 27, of American Canyon, admitted having methamphetamine in the Ford Taurus, police said. The officer found 4 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle, police said. Castaneda, who was alone in the car, had a suspended driver’s license, according to police.

Castaneda was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of transportation, distribution and sale of a controlled substance, drug possession and driving with a suspended driver’s license, according to the jail logs.
