The American Canyon Community and Parks Foundation has announced the hiring of Janelle Sellick as the organization’s first executive director.
Sellick helped start the foundation four years ago, and has served as a founding board member and its first president. She will serve on a part-time basis as executive director.
“I am honored to join ACCPF as the organizations first executive director, and look forward to expanding our reach in the community,” said Sellick in a press release. “ACCPF plays a key role in raising funds for improvements in our parks, and fosters a sense of community by encouraging outdoor, healthy play.”
The announcement also said Karen Ritter has been elected as the foundation’s new president.
Ritter said Sellick has demonstrated skillful and strategic leadership in both roles as a founding member and president. She has earned the confidence of the board and the community, said Ritter.
Sellick has more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector in Napa and Solano counties. She holds a master’s degree in recreation administration from California State University-Sacramento.
