The Jarvis Conservatory celebrates, Epiphany, the Feast of the Three Kings, with a Gallete des Rois celebration, a concert by with Grammy-award winning cellist Jonah Kim and pianist Elizabeth Dorman on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
They will perform Debussy's "Cello Sonata," Faure "Elegie," and Massenet's "The Meditation from Thais," plus a few surprises.
The concert will be followed by a reception with JCB sparkling wine and a galette des rois, the "king's cake" that is traditionally made for the Epiphany. Whoever finds the bean hidden in the cake, becomes the king or queen for the night. At Jarvis, both a king and a queen will be crowned and will receive prizes, too.
Tickets are $30. The Jarvis Conservatory is at 1711 Main St., Napa. For details, call 707-255-5445 or visit jarvisconservatory.com.
