Hawaiian Tropical Nights, a fundraiser for the Manaleo Hawaiian Cultural Foundation, takes place 8 p.m. Friday at the Napa Valley Opera House. Tickets are $30 and $35.

Featuring the Pahinui Hawaiian Band along with Kumu Hula Kawika Alfiche & Halau O’ Keikiali’I, this performance opens the second annual Napa Valley Aloha Festival and also showcases Napa’s own Manaleo and Grammy Award-winning Hawaiian Slack Key Musician Cyril Pahinui.

Saturday at 8 p.m. the Opera House welcomes Chanticleer, the orchestra of 12 voices from San Francisco known around the world for its original interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz and from gospel to new music. In this performance, titled “In Time Of …” Chanticleer sings music by Palestrina, Dufay, Janequin, Legeti, Chen Yi, Sametz, McGlynn, Bates and Gershwin.
