Denise Carberry from Yountville Live, the annual food, wine and music festival taking place this weekend, emailed the Register "to let you know what we will be doing in the wake of Friday's tragic shooting at The Pathway Home."
Carberry said plans are being made to honor the victims through the 3 Brave Women Fund that has been created #3bravewomenfund. Donations may be made c/o Mentis, 709 Franklin Street, Napa CA 94559 or at this weekend's events, she noted.
Yountville Live will donate a portion of the proceeds from Saturday and Sunday's Taste of Yountville ticket sales as well as auction items, to both the 3 Brave Women Fund and The Pathway Home, she said.
"In a truly devastating moment like this we need to come together and show support for not only a community that has experienced a huge loss but to an organization that has done so much to guide and assist veterans, The Pathway Home," Carberry wrote.
A Taste of Yountville takes place in conjunction with Yountville Live on Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18, noon to 5 p.m. For tickets and information, visit yountvillelive.com.
