Domitila Duron Rodriguez

Domitila went home to our Lord and Savior on December 29, 2017, at the age of 94.

She was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on September 6, 1923. She worked in the prune orchards and vineyards of Brawley, Live Oakarysville and the Napa Valley. She was also employed as a domesticanny for the Sullivan Family in Yuba City in the 1940s.

She eventually met her husband, Rafael Rodriguez, and they married in May of 1956. They had two daughters, Susanna & Laura, and she also became a step-mother to Esther & Ralph.

Once married, she devoted her life to her family & took great joy in baking, cooking and gardening. No one could bake a better pie crust! She was a parishioner of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Her gentle warmth and kindness will be greatly missed by family & friends.
