Patricia Jeanne Drucquer, Born Feb. 28, 1934 in Berkeley CA to Maurice and Myrtle Drucquer. She was married for over 20 years to Robert E Clopton, and was a devoted and caring mother to 4 children. She moved with the family to Napa, CA in 1969, and after her children were raised she founded and ran her own successful mortgage business, Vintage Mortgage, for over 20 years. After her youngest son Donald was diagnosed with ALS, she gave the business up so she could help with his care. Donald passed away from the ALS in 1998.
In the early 2000s she relocated to Sonoma County, living in Cloverdale, then moving to assisted care in Santa Rosa and later Windsor.
She was involved with many organizations, often rising to the top in a fairly short time. She spent many years with Sweet Adeleines, and performed in many singing competitions. She was also a many year member of Soroptimists.
She was a very gentle and softhearted person, a voracious reader, and could do anything from knit a sweater to fix a bicycle. She had a curious mind, and was a lifelong learner.
She is survived by her former husband Robert Clopton, daughter and care giver Susan Clopton, sons Thomas and William Clopton. Also survived by grandchildren Laura Clopton (Jones), Andrew Clopton, Joe Clopton, Diane Gianni, and Matthew Clopton. She had 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson Brandon Clopton and son Donald Clopton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS. Memorial service is yet to be determined
