Paul DeVaughn Palmer

Paul DeVaughn Palmer, also known as “Dig”, of Caldwell, ID and formerly of Napa, CA died in Caldwell, ID on April 22, 2006. Paul married Doris Ellen Palmer in 1951. Doris died September 18, 2017. They had three children: DeVaughn (Vaughn), died October 30, 2015; DeAnna Jones; and, Gregory.

Paul graduated from high school in 1943 and immediately enlisted in the military. He achieved rank of Staff Sergeant, Aerial Gunner, with the Liberator crew of the famed Jolly Roger heavy bomber outfit, World War II. He was awarded the Air Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster for meritorious achievement during WII. In the mid-1970s Paul retired from Pacific Telephone in Napa, after 34 years of service.
