Alyson Smith and Andrew Erickson of San Diego were wed Aug. 13 in San Diego.
The bride is the daughter of DJ and Diane Smith of Napa. She is a 2008 graduate of Justin-Siena High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in psychology. She works for the San Diego Unified School District as a second grade teacher.
The groom is the son and stepson of Christopher and Lisa Erickson of Las Cruces, N.M., and son of Laura Vanyo of Las Cruces. He is a 2006 graduate of Mayfield High School in Las Cruces and a 2010 graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder with degrees in electrical engineering and applied mathematics. He works as a software engineer for MJD Interactive in San Diego.
Matron of Honor was Hillary Moreno, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Gillian Barrett, Alex Cero, Maria Staggs, and Katherine Stefani.
Best man was George Thacker. Ushers were Eric Kopel, Jonathon Molis, Steven Ramm, and Eli Winderbaum.
Flower bearer was Malea Smith, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Davis Smith, nephew of the bride.
A reception was held at The Dana on Mission Bay, followed by a honeymoon trip to Maui.
The couple plans to continue to live in San Diego.
