8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1/4 cup Branston Pickle (available in the international or British section of fancy grocery stores)

1 tsp. Dijon mustard

2 Tbsp. heavy cream

Salt and pepper to taste

20 slices whole wheat bread

Combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, Branston pickle, mustard, cream, salt and pepper in the bowl of an electric mixer. Mix until slightly fluffy. Spread mixture on half the slices of bread and top each with another slice. Remove the crusts and cut each sandwich into four triangles or four narrow strips.

Yield: Sandwiches for 10
