Yountville’s Bouchon Bakery has added seasonal specialties to their offerings including festive macarons in holiday flavors, gingerbread and peppermint.
Eiphany is celebrated in France as the day on which the three kings arrived to pay tribute to the baby Jesus, and to celebrate they serve the Galette des Rois, the king’s cake.
Bouchon Bakery will be preparing the beautiful and traditional French cake, which combines puff pastry with almond cream and contains a hidden lucky charm, the fève. Whoever gets the fève in a slice of the cake becomes the king or queen of the day.
To mark truffle season, the Bouchon Bistro will serve a decadent Perigord truffle menu Dec. 21-24, and will transition to its winter menu where highlights Truffle Gnudi (dumplings made with ricotta) and a braised beef cheeks served with truffles.
