Experience Napa Valley, the annual Blue Oak School benefit auction, will be held over a two-day period this year. Friday’s March 1 event at Napa County Airport Hangar 3000 will evoke the atmosphere of a casual movie-set wrap party with live music, gourmet food trucks, compelling surprises and silent auction items.

Saturday’s March 2 event will be an "Oscar-style" red carpet award party at the Grand Ballroom of the Silverado Resort. The "old Hollywood" dinner will be imagined and executed by Blue Oak School dad and acclaimed chef Jeff Cerciello, proprietor of the Farmshop Restaurant Group. Auctioneer Fritz Hatton, one of the nation's foremost wine auctioneers and a Blue Oak School dad, will entertain as live auction items go on the block with the attendant glitz and glamour of Hollywood and a healthy dose of spoof.

One of the wine industry’s most compelling auction lots in recent memory will tempt bidders with a new 2012 Airstream travel trailer outfitted by NapaStyle; a custom barrel of Mount Veeder cabernet sauvignon from Blue Oak family member and grower Betty O'Shaughnessy and winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown; a night for three couples in a luxury “Glampsite” to enjoy a private Napa Valley outdoor experience at the famed Hudson Ranch in Carneros, complete with meals and wines; a two-night stay at the Dana Estates vineyard guesthouse; and the Blue Oak Family Magnum Lot, a collection of more than 20 magnums.
