The Napa Valley Wine Lounge at the America’s Cup Park at Piers 27/29 in San Francisco has opened. Through mid-September, America’s Cup fans can enjoy Napa wines and hospitality while watching the sailors vie for the oldest trophy in sports on the San Francisco Bay.
Clay Gregory, president of Visit Napa Valley, said, “What could be better than watching the excitement of this incredible sailing competition with a glass of Napa Valley wine in hand?”
Visit Napa Valley and Napa Valley Vintner are partners in the sponsorship. From now through the 34th America’s Cup finals, only Napa Valley wines will be served at all official America’s Cup venues and events. Napa Valley Vintner member winery Mumm Napa is the official sparkling wine of the 34th America’s Cup, and the Napa County Special Projects Fund is helping to support the sponsorship.
Located in the North Point area of the America’s Cup Race Park, the Napa Valley Wine Lounge is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with longer hours on days when there is a concert at the America’s Cup Pavilion.
Levy Restaurant Group will provide light bites and service. Napa Valley artist Gordon Huether created a custom bar using reclaimed barn wood and Napa Valley vines, and has lent the lounge a sculpture made of wine barrel rings.
