The Napa Wine + Grape Expo takes place Thursday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Napa Expo Fairgrounds, 575 Third St. in Napa.

This year’s event is focused on connecting vineyard practices to wine quality and features industry experts and companies that support quality vineyards and wineries. The Expo provides access to more than 120 viticulture and enology companies, organizations and seminars.

Topics include:

• “Between the Evocative and the Precise: A Discussion of Aromas in Wine,” with comparative tasting with Dawnine Dyer of Dyer Vineyards, Dan Dawson of Back Room Wines and Alyssa Harad, author of “Coming to My Senses.”

• “Mastering Balance and Vineyard Expression Through Lower Alcohol Wines.”

• “Red Blotch: What Do We Know?” with Dr. Marc Fuchs of Cornell University.

The Napa Valley Grapegrowers is also hosting a leadership and best practices education program in Spanish, which is free for Napa County vineyard workers. Topics include “Advances in New Technology” with Ruben Flores of Walsh Vineyards Management and “What Makes a Vintage?” with Michael Sipiora of Quintessa.
