Welcome Club’s next monthly luncheon planned for Jan. 11

The Napa Valley Welcome Club hosts its month luncheon Ristorante La Strada, 6240 Broadway St., American Canyon, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.

January’s guest speaker is retired Napa Police Chief Dan Monez. Monez retired from law enforcement in 2004, but he serves as a law enforcement expert and on-camera analyst for Sirens Media. Monez is also the vice president of Lucky Penny Productions, a local nonprofit that produces plays and musicals in Napa. Monez is a semi-professional actor and singer who has more than 50 shows to his credit.

The Napa Valley Welcome Club’s mission is to involve inspire, and foster friendship and camaraderie for the good of the organization and the community.

“Our purpose is to welcome new members to the Napa Valley and take an active interest in the community through the gift of time and energy to promote charitable and humanitarian projects,” said Joanne Kelly, president of the Napa Valley Welcome Club. “Our current fundraising project is Napa Valley Support Services for adults with disabilities.”
