A 38-year-old Napa man was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly fought with an officer and two unidentified victims, police said.

Officers were called around 7:40 p.m. to a reported fight in the 3500 block of Beckworth drive, authorities said. A single officer arrived at the residence and was allegedly confronted by Michael Earl Roberts.

Roberts was allegedly intoxicated and did not obey the officer’s commands, police said. He approached the officer aggressively and a brief struggle ensued, after which he was arrested.

Additional officers arrived at the scene to continue the investigation, which determined that Roberts allegedly assaulted a male and female during an argument, police said.

Roberts was booked into the Napa jail on suspicion of resisting an officer, domestic battery and assault and battery, according to the booking report.
