Napa police are searching for a white male in his late 20s or early 30s who allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Saturday afternoon, police said in a news release.

The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m., when an unidentified man entered the Wells Fargo Bank located inside Raley’s at the South Napa Marketplace and verbally demanded cash from a teller, police said. The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect — described as a white male approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, of a medium build and unshaven — then walked out the north doors of the store, police said. It is unknown which way he headed thereafter.

Officers who responded to the scene were unable to locate the suspect, who was reportedly wearing a plaid gray hooded jacket, white beanie with the San Francisco 49ers logo, black sunglasses and black pants, police said. Authorities do not know what type of vehicle, if any, he had at the time of the robbery.

Police said no weapon was seen. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Hess at 257-9507.

Is that an "alleged" picture of the person who allegedly robbed the bank? Anyone else notice
that so many of the people arrested are already on probation or parole? The so called
"corrections department" is not correcting anything.

Curious how someone could rob a bank in the middle of a grocery store and casually leave? Didn't the teller have a button, co-worker or plan to report an incident of this kind in a speedier fashion to at least know the direction the robber took after leaving?
