A 46-year-old Napa man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly driving drunk with his 6-year-old son in the vehicle, police said.

Officers were contacted around 10:40 p.m. about Daniel Lee Deweese, who was allegedly drinking and driving and had his son with him, police said. Officers located Deweese as he was returning home.

The man allegedly showed signs of being intoxicated and was evaluated and determined to have been driving drunk, police said. The child was reportedly found in the vehicle, unsecured.

Deweese was arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment and misdemeanor DUI, police said. He was booked into the Napa County jail.
