Special Enforcement Unit officers arrested a 42-year-old Napa man Friday night after he was allegedly found to be carrying drugs and paraphernalia, police said.

Officers contacted Juan Carlos Herrera as he rode a bicycle on Pearl Street near Yajome Street, authorities said. Herrera appeared to be nervous and was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe that contained a usable amount of suspected methamphetamine, according to police.

Herrera was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and taken to the Napa jail, where he was found to be carrying a small bag of suspected methamphetamine, police said.
