Napa and the North Bay region will endure nearly constant rain on Saturday and into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Rainfall is expected to steadily increase from morning into the afternoon, then ease slightly during the night before regaining strength Sunday. The weather service has issues a hazardous weather outlook for the region.

The high temperature forecast is 54 degrees at Napa County Airport, with a nighttime low of 43. Daytime winds are expected to reach 9-13 mph from the east-southeast, shifting to the south-southwest at 6-8 mph after dark.

After a sunny Christmas Eve, rain is expected to return locally on Christmas night, with showers possible into Friday.

Sunday: 54 / 36 — rain, mostly before 10 p.m.

Christmas Eve: 54 / 34

Christmas Day: 53 / 39 — chance of nighttime rain

Wednesday: 54 / 35 — rain likely

Thursday: 54 / 35 — chance of showers
