A man driving southbound on the Silverado Trail at about 3:30 p.m.. Monday allegedly hit a car stopped at the intersection of Oak Knoll and the Silverado Trail as he tried to make a right turn onto Oak Knoll Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Pedro Vicente Hernandez, 54, of Napa, who was at the wheel of a 1997 Jeep, was allegedly driving too fast to make the turn, the CHP said. He braked and hit the left-front door of a 2013 Toyota driven by Lori Darae-Saros, 53, of St. Helena, the CHP said.
Darae-Saros was transported by ground ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where she was treated and released, the CHP said.
Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of drunk driving causing injury, the CHP said.
