Cyclist arrested on suspicion of drug possession

American Canyon Police arrested a 47-year-old transient Sunday evening after he was allegedly found to be in possession of several illegal items, police said.

Ronald Joel Marcos was stopped as he rode his bicycle near the Safeway on American Canyon Road on suspicion of committing a vehicle code violation, police said. On contact, police allegedly found him to be in possession of a switch blade, suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe and marijuana.

Marcos was arrested on suspicion of drug and paraphernalia possession and carrying the switch blade, police said. He was booked into the Napa County jail.
