Overnight frost remains a possibility Saturday night in Napa and much of the North Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

After a morning filled with mostly cloudy skies, local conditions are forecast to clear after 10 a.m., with a high temperature of 59 degrees at Napa County Airport. Calm winds are expected to strengthen to 6 mph from the southeast during the day.

The weather service predicts areas of frost in the North Valley region from 10 p.m. through 10 a.m. Sunday, with a low of 37, as early evening clouds gradually dissipate.

A frost advisory the agency issued Friday evening recommends that residents cover outdoor plants or take them indoors to prevent damage from nighttime temperatures that may approach freezing.

Clear skies are expected for the early part of next week, with a chance of rain returning on Tuesday.

Here is the five-day temperature outlook for Napa:

Veterans Day: 62 / 44 — areas of frost possible before 10 a.m.

Monday: 64 / 46

Tuesday: 65 / 45 — slight chance of rain

Wednesday: 63 / 44 — chance of rain

Thursday: 63 / 47 — chance of rain
