Two drivers were injured Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision on Highway 121/12 north of Los Carneros Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Liliana Galvan, 25, of American Canyon, was driving a 2002 Honda Civic northbound on Highway 121/12 at about 3 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, her car crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a 2010 Nissan Sentra traveling in the other direction, the CHP said.
Galvan and the driver of the Nissan Sentra, Adam Vargas, 41, of Napa, were taken by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
Galvan suffered major injuries while Vargas had moderate injuries, the CHP said. Traffic controls were in effect for about 30 minutes.
On Friday, Galvan was listed in stable condition at the hospital’s intensive care unit, hospital spokeswoman Vanessa DeGier said at 10 a.m. Vargas’ condition was unknown Friday.
