A 33-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of trying to cash a forged $1,600 check at Rabobank at 700 Trancas St., according to the Napa Police Department.

Moli Pelenatete, 33, of Vallejo, left the bank when employees would not cash the check because they believed it was fraudulent, police said. Pelenatete was stopped by police near Trancas and Jefferson streets.

She was arrested and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, forgery and driving with a suspended driver’s license, police said.
