American Canyon police arrested a Vallejo man early Sunday morning on suspicion of receiving stolen property while they were responding to an unrelated report of multiple vehicle thefts, police said.

About 20 minutes after midnight, officers were responding to a mobile home park on Flosden Road when they came upon a man walking in the area, police said. When contacted, Colm Patrick Briody, 20, allegedly said he did not know where he was going and admitted to having a gun on his person.

Officers allegedly found a 9 mm handgun, which had allegedly been stolen during a prior burglary in Vallejo, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm. He was booked into the Napa jail.
